Cowboys Waive DE Lavar Edwards, Signing OT Tony Hills

The Cowboys have placed DE Lavar Edwards on waivers Wednesday, according to Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas.

Dallas sent a conditional seventh-round pick to the Titans in return for Edwards at the end of August, but he has been cut on multiple occasions since joining the Cowboys.

Edwards, 24, was a fifth-round pick of the Titans last year. During his rookie season, Edwards recorded nine tackles and one pass defense while appearing in seven games.

On the season, Edwards has appeared in two games, but has yet to record a single statistic.

Hills, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers. He spent three years with the team, but unfortunately missed the entire 2011 season. Hills has since played for the Broncos, Colts, Bills and Raiders and last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season.
