Cowboys Waive LB Ed Shockley & WR Malik Earl

According to Todd Archer of ESPN, the Cowboys have placed LB Ed Shockley and WR Malik Earl on waivers Tuesday.

Shockley wound up going undrafted out of Villanova a month ago before signing on with the Cowboys soon after.

During his college career at Villanova, Shockley recorded 145 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, a fumble recovery, an interception and two pass defenses over the course of three seasons and 36 games played.

Earl, 22, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri State following this year’s draft.

During his four-year college career, Earl rushed for 121 yards on 12 carries and one touchdown. He also caught 147 passes for 1,962 yards receiving and nine touchdowns over the course of 43 games.
