Cowboys Waive LB Keith Smith & DT Ken Bishop

The Dallas Cowboys officially placed LB Keith Smith and DT Ken Bishop on waivers Monday, according to the NFL transactions release.

Smith, 23, signed on with the Cowboys as an as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State back in May of last year. However, he was placed on waivers just a few days after the recent NFL Draft.

Dallas elected to bring him back for the start of the preseason, and managed to make the 53-man roster.

This season, Smith has appeared in four games, but has yet to record a single statistic.

Bishop, 23, is a former seventh round pick of the Cowboys back in 2014. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason as a rookie, but was later waived and added to their practice squad a few months into the season.
