The Dallas Cowboys announced Monday that they have placed LB Keith Smith on waivers.

Smith, 22, signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State this past May, but was waived at the end of August as the team cut their roster down to 53 players.
Dallas promoted Smith to their active roster on Saturday and waived DE Lavar Edwards, who they had traded for just a few weeks ago. However, Smith played just two defensive snaps.
