Cowboys Waive QB Kellen Moore

The Dallas Cowboys waived QB Kellen Moore from their active roster on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

  • David Moore reports that the Cowboys would like to sign to their practice squad if clears waivers.

Moore, 26, wound up signing on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Boise State back in 2012. He spent over three years in Detroit before he was among their final roster cuts a few weeks back.

The Cowboys later signed him to their practice squad before promoting him to their active roster shortly after Tony Romo when down with a collarbone injury.

Since then, it’s become clear that they didn’t feel comfortable going with Moore as their starter.

Moore has yet to appear in an NFL game.
