Many assumed that Michael would take on a larger role after the Cowboys cut Joseph Randle a few weeks ago, but that hasn’t been the case.
Michael, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. He was traded to the Cowboys at the start of the season for a conditional seventh-round pick.
Michael is in the third year of his four-year, $3.374 million rookie contract that included an $834,132 signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $711,766 for the 2015 and another $865,149 in 2016.
This season, Michael has ran for 51 yards on 15 carries (3.4 YPC) to go along with one reception for two yards receiving and no touchdowns.
