The Dallas Cowboys officially waived RB Trey Williams from injured reserve with a settlement on Friday.
Williams, 25, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2015. He’s played for a number of teams including the Cowboys, Patriots, Dolphins, and Colts before joining the Steelers this past February on a future/reserve contract.
Unfortunately, the Steelers waived Williams coming out of the preseason and he later signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad in November before returning to Dallas on a futures contract this past January.
The Cowboys waived Williams with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.
In 2015, Williams appeared in two games and rushed for 12 yards on two carries.
