Cowboys Worked Out RB Denard Robinson

Jane Slater of NFL Network reports that the Cowboys worked out free agent RB Denard Robinson on Thursday.

According to Slater, the Cowboys are still looking to fill the void left by Lance Dunbar, who signed with the Rams this offseason.

This is the first reported interest in Robinson since he visited with the Jets over a month ago. Before that, Robinson tried out for the Bears but left the session without an offer.

Robinson, 26, is a former fifth-round pick by the Jaguars in the 2013 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year rookie contract and is exploring the open market for the first time in his career.

In 2016, Robinson appeared in 13 games for the Jaguars and recorded 144 yards on 41 attempts (3.5 YPC) and no touchdowns. He also finished with three receptions for 22 yards.
