Cowboys Worked Out Seven Players Including LB Brandon Hepburn & DB Dax Swanson

Todd Archer of ESPN reports that the Cowboys worked out seven players on Tuesday including DB Dax Swanson, DB Isaiah Frey, OT Cameron Bradfield, OT Bryan Witzmann, LB Brandon Hepburn, and TE Nate Askew.

Dallas also worked out DL Lawrence Okoye and met with CB Brandon Boykin, so they’re clearly casting a wide net right now.

Hepburn, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Lions back in 2013. He spent just over a year in Detroit before he was waived at the start of the 2014 season.

The Eagles later signed Hepburn to their practice squad and brought him back on future/reserve contracts in each of the past two seasons before placing him on waivers back in February.

Hepburn has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Swanson, 24, signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Sam Houston State back in 2013. However, he’s played for a number of teams since entering the league including the 49ers, Patriots Buccaneers, Giants and Dolphins.

Miami signed Swanson to their practice squad mid-season and later brought him back on a future/reserve contract. However, he was cut loose in the days leading up to free agency.

Swanson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
