Cowboys Worked Out Three Linebackers Including Eric Pinkins

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Cowboys are bringing in free agent LB Eric Pinkins for a workout on Thursday.

Pinkins, 26, was taken in the sixth-round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Seahawks. He was waived at the start of the regular season last year but signed to their practice squad.

Pinkins returned to Seattle on an exclusive rights contract back in March of last year but was waived with an injury settlement a few weeks into the 2016 regular season. The Giants later signed him to practice squad before eventually calling him up towards the end of the year.

Unfortunately, New York cut Pinkins loose coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Pinkins appeared in five games and recorded one tackle for the Giants.
