Cowboys WR Dez Bryant Felt Some Discomfort In His Foot, “50-50” To Play In Week 8

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that Cowboys WR Dez Bryant felt some discomfort in his injured foot late last week.

  • Glazer adds that the Cowboys have to make sure the bone is fully healed before Bryant returns.
  • Meanwhile, Mike Garafolo reports that Bryant is close to a 50-50 to play in next week’s game, even though the Cowboys believe he’ll be back for Week 9.

The Cowboys had pinpointed Week 7 as a return date for Bryant since he first sustained the injury, but medical professionals had said that this was likely Dallas being overly optimistic about their star receiver.

Instead, many believes Bryant was likely to miss somewhere between 8-12 weeks, depending on how the bone healed.

Bryant did not travel with the team this week, but he still made the trip on his own to be with his teammates.

Bryant, 26, signed a massive five-year, $70 million contract that included $45 million guaranteed with the Cowboys this summer.

On the season, Bryant has appeared in just one game and caught five passes for 48 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Bryant returning to the Cowboys as the news is available.
