The Cowboys have officially signed Raiders restricted free agent DE Benson Mayowa after the team elected to not match their offer sheet.

The Raiders elected to use a low-round tender on Mayowa a few weeks ago, which gave them the right of first refusal on any contract offer he would receive. However, they won’t receive any compensation for him.

Mayowa, 25, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Idaho back in 2013. He lasted over a year in Seattle before he was waived at the start of the 2014 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Raiders.

In 2015, Mayowa appeared in 12 games for the Raiders and recorded 16 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, two recoveries and a safety.
