Drug Charges Against Cowboys RB Joseph Randle Dropped

Update:

According to Wichita police spokesman Lt. James Espinoza, the drug chargers against Cowboys RB Joseph Randle have been dropped, via the Associated Press.

  • Espinoza mentioned that there were some inconsistencies with his charge of marijuana possession,
  • Espinoza said this will allow them to present any charges that result from their ongoing investigation to prosecutors at one time.

Randle, 23, still has another two years remaining on his four-year, $2.349 million rookie contract, which includes base salaries of $585,000 (2015) and $675,000 (2016).

In 2014, Randle ran for 343 yards on 51 carries (6.7 YPC) and scored three touchdowns.

The agent for Cowboys RB Joseph Randle, Erik Burkhardt, announced that Randle was not arrested and instead received a ticket from police.

Clarence Hill reports that Randle was detained and given a ticket, but was not taken to jail. Although, he was listed as arrested on the official police report.

KAKE News is reporting that Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle was arrested on early Wednesday morning in Wichita, Kansas on drug charges.

Police were responding to a domestic violence call that came in around 3:00 a.m. A 22-year-old woman reported she and Randle were arguing in a hotel room.

According to the report, officers found marijuana in the room, and arrested Randle on a drug charge.

It’s worth mentioning that Randle has a child with this women, and it appears a though they met so that Randle could see his child.

Randle is facing a misdemeanor drug charge.
