Rebecca Lopez of WFAA Dallas reports that Denver Broncos CB Aqib Talib and his brother are under investigation for an aggravated assault that took place early this Wednesday morning at a nightclub.

Lopez, citing Dallas Police sources, adds that two vehicles associated with Talib and his brother have been towed and are being searched for evidence.

Talib has dealt with a number of off-the-field issues over the course of his career, so this is hardly the type of thing the Broncos want to hear regarding their No. 1 cornerback.

It’s worth mentioning that the investigation is ongoing and there have been no charges filed against Talib or his brother up to this point.

Talib, 29, signed a six-year, $57 million contract that includes $26 million guaranteed with the Broncos back in March of last year. He still has another five years remaining on the agreement, which includes base salaries of $5.5 million (2015), $8.5 million (2016), $11 million (2017-2018), and $8 million (2019).

In 2014, Talib appeared in 15 games and recorded 63 tackles, one sack, four interceptions, one forced fumble and 17 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 16 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Talib as the news is available.
