Darrell Bevell “Top Target” To Join Josh McDaniels’ Staff As Offensive Coordinator

Ian Rapoport reports that former Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell has emerged as a “top target” for Josh McDaniels to be his offensive coordinator with the Colts.

According to Rapoport, the Vikings and Giants are also interested in Bevell.

Bevell, 48, began his NFL coaching career with the Packers as an assistant quarterbacks coach in 2000. He eventually worked his way up to QBs coach before being hired by the Vikings as their offensive coordinator in 2006.

After five years in Minnesota, Bevell signed on with the Seahawks for the 2011 season and spent the past seven years in Seattle before he was recently fired.

In 2017, the Seahawks’ offense was No. 15 in total yards, No. 11 in points scored, No. 23 in yards rushing and No. 14 in passing offense.
