Darren McFadden Announces Retirement From NFL

Veteran RBĀ Darren McFadden announced Tuesday that he’s retiring from the NFL.

McFadden, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Raiders back in 2008. He spent seven years in Oakland before signing on with the Cowboys in 2015.

McFadden returned to the Cowboys on a one-year, $980,000 contract this past March but was cut loose last week.

In total, McFadden rushed for 5,421 yards on 1,302 carries (4.2 YPC) for the Raiders and Cowboys to go along with 254 receptions for 2,114 yards receiving and 33 total touchdowns over the course of 10 seasons and 103 games played.
