ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that RB Darren McFadden “has not surrendered hope” of playing in the teams final regular season game. Schefter adds that McFadden has met with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson this week.
Earlier reports mentioned that McFadden was able to do some light jogging but still wasn’t able to practice on Wednesday or Thursday. McFadden is said to be dealing with a Lisfranc injury which is the same injury that cost Matt Schaub the remainder of his season.
I can understand that McFadden would like to return this season but considering that the injury has kept him out for what will be eight weeks following Saturday’s game, it may not be worth the risk especially when you consider that the Raiders may be out of contention this weekend.
