Darren Sproles Market Forming

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the RB Darren Sproles is drawing interest from the Saints, Eagles and surprisingly the Chargers.

New Orleans has a backfield that consists of Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and Chris Ivory so the addition of Sproles would be a novelty signing for them.

Philly needs another running back but Sproles’s skill set is as a third-down back which seems closer to that of LeSean McCoy.

San Diego makes sense if they can re-sign him for a reasonable price. He fits a need for the team and has plenty of experience in their offense.

A few weeks ago rumors had Sproles at the top of the St Louis Rams and the Miami Dolphins lists but the acquistion of Reggie Bush has essentially removed them from the running. St Louis has been really quiet throughout the short lived free agency period but they can’t be ruled out of the for Sproles yet.
