Dave Tollefson Retires From The NFL

Veteran defensive end, and current free agent, Dave Tollefson announced his retirement from the NFL on Friday.

Tollefson, 31, was taken in the seventh round of the 2006 draft by the Green Bay Packers. He later joined the Raiders briefly before ending up in New York with the Giants where he would go on to play five seasons.

Tollefson later joined returned to Oakland on a  two-year, $2.5 million contract, but played just one year of this deal.

He finished his career with 89 tackles, 10.5 sacks and three forced fumbles.
