Jets QB David Garrard Retiring From The NFL

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, QB David Garrard has told multiple Jets players that he does not plan to remain with the team.

Garrard, 35, has not played in a game since the 2010 regular season due to injury.  As of now, no details have been provided whether Garrard has retired or asked for his release.

With Garrard likely to retire, QB Geno Smith‘s probability of winning this quarterback competition has drastically increased as the Jets will now have more straight forward quarterback competition by having QB Mark Sanchez try to fight off Smith.
