DE Jason Babin Expecting A Long Term Contract

Tennessee Titans DE Jason Babin discussed in plan for free agency with the Detroit News.

“I’m looking to get a three- or four-year contract,” said Babin. “I plan to play the last few years on my terms.”

There has been a lot speculation that Babin could end up in Philadelphia with former defensive line coach Jim Washburn. The Detroit Lions could be another option for him considering that Jim Schwartz was the Titans former defensive coordinator but this is just an attempt to connect the dots.

Babin is 31 and coming off of a breakout season but teams should be leery of throwing money at a player that just had his first great season. I could see Babin being successful in the right situation which is why the Eagles and Lions both make sense.
