Even though Browns head coach Eric Mangini won’t admit it, Jake Delhomme is unlikely to start Sunday’s game which should give Seneca Wallace the chance to lead the team. Delhomme will sit out his third straight practice today which should indicate that the team will go with Wallace who was the more exciting player during the preseason but Mangini seems to be unwilling to commit to the idea.
“He knows the gameplan. I’d have total confidence in [Jake],” Mangini said.
Mangini also mentioned that he has total confidence in Wallace if the team decides to bench Delhomme.
Browns should be concerned with winning the game and going with the quarterback that will give the team the best chance of winning the game. Delhomme showed some toughness last weekend but if he’s unable to practice during the week, the team will likely have to go with Wallace.
