DeMarco Murray Wins Offensive Player Of The Year

Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray was named the 2014 Offensive Player of the Year Saturday night at the NFL honors.

Murray, 26, was extremely impressive this season. He ran for 1,845 yards on 393 carries (4.7 YPC) and scored 13 touchdowns, over the course of 16 games and added another 57 receptions for 416 yards receiving.

Interestingly enough, he’s now set to be an unrestricted free agent this March and is by far the best available running back.

The Cowboys will need to decide if they’re willing to pay Murray a market-value contract or allow him to walk next year. This figures to be a very interesting situation to keep an eye on the coming months.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 5 running back in the league out of 57 qualifying players. We have Murray listed as the No. 9 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
