Demetrius Bell Leaves Philly Without Contract

It seemed like the Demetrius Bell would have been an obvious option for the Philadelphia Eagles now that they’ve lost OT Jason Peters anywhere from 9-12 months, but Jeff McLane is reporting that Bell left his visit with the Eagles without a contract.

So far he’s met with the Cardinals, Redskins, Steelers, Packers, and Eagles and has yet to secure a deal with any of the listed teams. Bell was one of the best free agents at the tackle position so it is rather curious that he’s been unable to a new team. Buffalo reportedly still has a deal on the table for him, but his asking price is clearly higher than what many teams are willing to pay.

We have him listed as the #11 best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
