Denver’s options at DE

With the loss of Elvis Dumervil to a torn pectoral muscle, the Broncos are now left with a huge hole to fill on the d-line. Yesterday I mentioned that both Aaron Schobel and Adewale Ogunleye are currently available and the Broncos do have rookies Jarvis Moss and Robert Ayers, but the team may be looking to bring in a veteran presence.

Doug Farrar of Yahoo! Sports suggested that Adalius Thomas may be their best option to add a pass rush threat. This idea has also be seconded by ESPN’s Bill Williamson who says that he is the right choice to fill the Dumervils spot but hasn’t put up the same numbers that he did while in Baltimore. Josh McDaniels is familiar with Thomas from their time together in New England so this remains an open possibility.
