Dez Bryant Leaves Practice With Patella Tendinitis in Knee

5:30p.m. — Todd Archer is reporting via twitter than Bryant has been diagnosed with patella tendinitis, and there is no word on whether or not he will play in either of the Cowboys’ final two preseason games.

Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports that Cowboys WR Dez Bryant suffered a knee injury during the team’s Monday practice and will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

It’s worth noting that Bryant did return to the practice field, so this is likely just a precautionary move by the team.

Miles Austin has been dealing with a hamstring and TE Jason Witten recently suffered a ruptured spleen, so this is hardly the type of situation Dallas wants to see at this point in the season. Bryant has looked great throughout training camp and the preseason. We’ll have more as the information becomes available.
