Dolphins Only Able To Get A “Late-Round Pick” For Jonathan Martin?

Multiple reports on Wednesday indicated that NFL special investigator Ted Wells is expected to release his report regarding the Jonathan MartinRichie Incognito situation either late next week or the week after.

Earlier in the week, text messages between Martin and Incognito were released online and the general consensus appears to favor of Incognito.

James Walker of ESPN.com takes a look at Martin’s trade value as things stand right now.

According to Walker, the questions surrounding Martin will almost certainly have an impact on the kind of compensation the Dolphins will receive in trade offers. Walker adds that even though offensive tackles are hard to come by in the NFL, Miami may not be able to do any better than a late-round pick for Martin.

Walker mentions that the Indianapolis Colts could be a team to watch given their offensive line needs and the fact that Martin played with QB Andrew Luck at Stanford.

It’s also worth noting that Colts OC Pep Hamilton held the same position at Stanford during this time.
