The Miami Dolphins announced Saturday that they’ve activated rookie RB Jay Ajayi from short-term injured reserve and waived C Sam Brenner to make room for him.
We have activated RB Jay Ajayi from Reserve Injured/Designated for Return.
To make room on the roster, we have waived C Sam Brenner.

Ajayi, 22, was taken in the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft. Unfortunately, he sustained a cracked rib during the preseason finale, which led to him being placed on injured reserve with the designation to return.
He rookie contract is a four-year, $2.5 million agreement that deal included a $220,812 signing bonus. Ajayi will make a base salary of $435,000 for the 2015 season.
