Dolphins Bringing In QB David Fales

According to Ian Rapoport, free agent QB David Fales flew into Miami last night, as the Dolphins are in need of quarterback help now that Jay Cutler is unlikely to play on Thursday after he suffered cracked ribs.

The Dolphins do have Brandon Doughty on their practice squad, but it appears as though they could sign Fales to be Matt Moore‘s backup for this week.

Fales, 27, was taken in the sixth-round of the Bears back in 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason during his rookie year.

Fales was on and off of the Ravens’ practice squad throughout the 2016 season before the Bears signed him to their active roster back in November. The Dolphins signed him to a contract this past April but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Fales appeared in one game and completed two of five pass attempts for 22 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions.
