ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Dolphins are bringing in free agent RB Chris Johnson for a visit on Wednesday.

This comes just a day after the Dolphins lost RB C.J. Anderson to the Broncos after Denver elected to match their offer sheet for him.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported a few days ago that Johnson could sign a new deal as early as this week while adding that there’s currently multiple teams with interest in signing him to a contract.

It’s worth mentioning that both Johnson and the Cardinals have shown interest in him returning to Arizona next year in the past few months.

Johnson, 30, signed one-year, $870,000 contract with the Cardinals that included $400,000 guaranteed and another $1.13 million available through incentives.

Johnson unfortunately landed on the injured reserve list with the designation to return after he sustained a leg fracture during their game against the 49ers.

In 2015, Johnson has ran for 814 yards on 196 carries (4.2 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 58 yards receiving and three total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated Johnson as the No. 69 running back out of 69 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
