Dolphins Claim DT Bruce Gaston Off Waivers From Patriots

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Dolphins have claimed DT Bruce Gaston off of waivers from the Patriots.

  • Yates points out that the Dolphins are playing New England this weekend.
  • Miami parted ways with DB Brandon Ross in order to clear a spot for Gaston.

Gaston, 22, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue, but lasted until cut down day this past weekend. The Patriots later claimed him off of waivers, although he lasted just a day with the team.

During his four-year college career, he recorded 132 tackles, seven sacks, 24 tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles.
