Dolphins Claim K Cody Parkey Off Waivers From Browns

The Miami Dolphins have claimed K Cody Parkey off of waivers from the Browns on Sunday, according to Tom Pelissero.

Parkey, 25, originally signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May of 2014. However, he was traded to the Eagles after a few months in exchange for RB David Fluellen.

He lasted two years in Philadelphia before being waived and later signed with the Browns as a free agent. Cleveland elected to waive him on Saturday as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.

In 2016, Parkey recorded 20 field goals on 25 attempts (80 percent) and converted 20 of 21 extra point opportunities (95.2 percent), while kicking 34 touchbacks.
