Dolphins Considering Using Rookie Lamar Miller At WR This Year?

Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin mentioned that rookie RB Lamar Miller could end up seeing some playing time at receiver at some point.

“I’m not saying make a full position change, but I think there’s some flexibility with what you can do with the guy,” Philbin said, via the Palm Beach Post.

Miller wasn’t exactly a huge weapon in the passing game for the Hurricanes, but the Dolphins are most likely exploring all of the options in regards to their offensive weapons. There’s a good chance that Miller will see a limited number of carries this season because of the fact that he’ll likely be sitting behind Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas, so moving him to receiver in certain situations makes sense, considering that they could use some extra options in the passing game. The only question will be whether or not he can be an effective weapon for them in that type of role.

Miller’s coming off of a shoulder surgery that he had back in December be should be ready for training camp.
