Dolphins Cut 2014 Fifth-Round TE Arthur Lynch, Sign LB James Davidson

The Miami Dolphins announced that they’ve waived TE Arthur Lynch and signed LB James Davidson to a contract.

Lynch, 25, was the Dolphins fifth round pick from last year and has another three years remaining on his four-year, $2.4 million rookie contract. He stands to make a base salary of $435,000 for the 2015 season.

Last year, Lynch was unfortunately placed on season-ending injured reserve right before the start of the season with a back injury.

Davidson, 24, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of UTEP back in May of last year. He was unable to make the team coming out of the preseason, but later caught on with the Giants mid-season.

In 2014, Davidson appeared in two games, but didn’t record a single statistic.
