Dolphins Down To Three Candidates For Head Coach?

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins are no longer considering Bengals DC Mike Zimmer for their head coaching vacancy.

This narrows the search down to Dolphins interim coach Todd Bowles, Broncos OC Mike McCoy, and Packers OC Joe Philbin. All of them will be brought back for a second interview this week.

Miami lost defensive coordinator Mike Nolan to the Atlanta Falcons earlier in the day and Colts fired Jim Caldwell so a busy Tuesday may have forced them to accelerate the process.

Salguero adds that Packers OC Joe Philbin is very interested in the job and willing to relocate his family despite recently losing his son in a very unfortunate event last week.

If Philbin is as interested in the position as Salguero reports, he could very well be the teams next head coach.
