Dolphins Signing G Josh Sitton To Two-Year Deal Worth Up To $18M

Ian Rapoport reports that veteran G Josh Sitton is negotiating a multi-year deal with the Dolphins and it’s expected to get done.

  • Joe Schad reports that Sitton receives a two-year contract from the Dolphins that can be worth up to $18 million by reaching incentives.

This comes shortly after the news that the Dolphins will release veteran C Mike Pouncey.

Sitton, 31, is a former fourth-round pick of the Packers back in 2008. He played eight years for the Packers before they released at the start of the 2016 season.

Sitton later signed a three-year, $21.75 million contract that included $10 million with the Bears. He was set to make a base salary of $7.4 million for the 2018 season.

The Bears declined his $8 million option for 2018, making him an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Sitton appeared in 13 games for the Bears and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 5 guard out of 77 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
