Dolphins Have Expressed Interest In RB James Starks

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins have shown interest in free agent RB James Starks this week.

According to Jackson, the two parties have been communication, but it remains to be seen if they’re bring Starks in for a visit.

Starks previously visited with the Patriots, but he wound up leaving New England without a contract and they elected to sign Donald Brown in recent days.

Starks, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers back in 2010. He has spent all six years of his career in Green Bay and is once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Starks ran for 601 yards on 148 carries (4.1 YPC) to go along with 43 receptions for 392 yards receiving and five total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 59 running back out of 69 qualifying players.

  1. Is there a reason were not meeting with Alfred Morris? Morris has much better stats than Starks. What is with the FO’s thinking? One long continuous brain fart?

    • Reason is because we are now going to have to draft a stud running back, don’t be surprised if we take Elliot at 13, with our qb you must have a strong RB and that’s coming from an nfl coach inside source .
