Dolphins “Front-Runner” For WR Albert Wilson

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins haveĀ emerged as the front-runner for Chiefs free agent WR Albert Wilson.

According to Rapoport, Wilson has a “hotter than expected market” right now. A source did tell Rapoport that things remain “fluid” in regards to Wilson, but it appears as though Miami is the team to watch here.

The Bears had previously come up as a team to watch for Wilson, seeing as they hired former Chiefs OC Matt Nagy as their new head coach and could use receiver depth.

Wilson, 25, signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia State back in 2014. He finished the final year of a three-year, $1,540,000 contract before returning to the Chiefs on a one-year restricted deal worth $1.797 millionĀ for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Wilson appeared in 13 games for the Chiefs and caught 42 passes for 554 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 32 receiver out of 118 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 Ā ā€“ 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
