Dolphins Get Their Roster Down To 53 Players

The Miami Dolphins announced their 53-man roster on Saturday.

The list of players who were either released or placed on waivers includes:

Freeman, 27, was taken in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Buccaneers. He wound up playing four years for the Bucs before they cut him loose in July of 2012.

The Vikings wasted no time in signing him to a contract, however, it proved to be a disastrous decision for both parties. Freeman later caught on with the Giants in April of last year, but he lasted a little over a month in New York before he was once again released.

The Dolphins elected to give Freeman another shot this past in April, but released him after a few weeks. However, Miami later brought him back for training camp.

In 2013, Freeman appeared in just four games and 42.9 percent of his passes for 761 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
