Dolphins Have Reportedly Reached Out To Veteran S Chris Clemons

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins have already made in inquiry to former S Chris Clemons.

However, Jackson adds that they have yet to extend him a contract offer at this point in time, but there is a chance that they could revisit the situation some time in the coming weeks.

Clemons, 28, was among the final roster cuts made by the Texans last weekend as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players. It was a somewhat surprising move given that they signed him to a two-year, $2.7 million contract back in March.

Last year, he recorded 62 tackles, eight passes defended, and an interception over the course 16 games. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 19 safety in the league out of 86 qualifying players.
