Dolphins Haven’t Offered Contracts to RB Reggie Bush or CB Sean Smith

The Dolphins have yet to reach out to running back Reggie Bush or cornerback Sean Smith in regards to a new contract, according to the Miami Herald.

This is a stark contrast to how the team has dealt with wide receiver Brian Hartline and offensive tackle Jake Long, both of whom received contract offers during the season. The Dolphins seem to be interested in retaining their free agents, but it’s often added that they’re only willing to do so at the right price.  It’s worth noting that Smith’s name has come up as a potential candidate for the team’s franchise tag.

Miami could be looking to move on at both positions, opting to go with cheaper in-house solutions or possibly target young talent in the upcoming draft.

We have all four of these players listed in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
