Dolphins Haven’t Ruled Out Signing WRs Michael Crabtree Or Greg Jennings At Some Point

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reiterates that the Dolphins did, in fact, discuss salary parameters with free agent WR Michael Crabtree during his recent visit to Miami.

Yesterday, Jackson reported that the Dolphins were willing to pay free agent Crabtree close to $3 million for the 2015 season. However, Crabtree is reportedly seeking something closer to $4.5 million.

Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post later refuted the report, but Jackson has confirmed his information with another source and stands by his report.

Jackson mentions that the Dolphins have left the door open in regards to signing Crabtree and could re-engage his agent in discussions in the coming weeks.

On top of that, the Dolphins reportedly haven’t ruled out signing free agent WR Greg Jennings as well.

Crabtree is scheduled to visit with the Raiders at some point next week, so there’s a chance that they could come away with a better offer from Oakland.

Crabtree, 27, appeared in all 16 games and caught 68 passes for 698 yards receiving and four touchdowns last year. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 95 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.

Jennings, 31, appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and caught 59 receptions for 742 yards receiving and six touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 48 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.

We have Crabtree listed as the No. 34 player in our Top 1oo Free Agents list.
