Dolphins “Leaning” Towards Drafting Alabama OT Cyrus Kouandjio?

Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reports that the Dolphins’ GM Dennis Hickey prefers Alabama OT Cyrus Kouandjio to Notre Dame OL Zack Martin

Dennis has got a love for Kouandjio and he should be sitting there for them,” Abramson’s source said.

Martin has been a popular name connected to the Dolphins in recent Mock Drafts, but apparently they have other targets in mind.

Reports from the NFL Combine mentioned that “several” NFL teams failed had failed Kouandjio after giving him a physical.

He was able to participate in Alabama’s Pro Day and some evaluators have said that they still like him a lot, so there is a chance that there could be some truth to this.

We have the Buccaneers taking Kouandjio in the second round of our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
