Dolphins LT Branden Albert Out At Least 2-3 Weeks With Wrist Injury

Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports that Dolphins LT Branden Albert is expected to be out at least two or three weeks with a wrist injury.

Albert managed to finish Sunday’s game with a short cast on his injured wrist. However, there was some question whether Albert would be able to return in time for Week 11’s game against the Rams.

The expectation is that rookie Laremy Tunsil will take over as the team’s starting left tackle this weekend.

Albert, 32, is a former first-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2008. After six years in Kansas City, Albert signed a five-year, $46 million contract that included $25 million guaranteed.

Albert stands to make a base salary of $8.425 million this season and another $8.875 million in 2017.

This season, Albert has appeared in seven games for the Dolphins and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 56 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
