Dolphins Notes: Reggie Bush, Matt Moore, Sean Smith

Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post offers up some interesting information regarding the Miami Dolphins and some of their free agents.

Reggie Bush

Volin writes that the San Diego Chargers could be a team to watch in regards to RB Reggie Bush.

Bush is originally from San Diego and may consider signing on to be a complementary back to current starter Ryan Mathews.

Reports from yesterday indicated that the Dolphins have discussed bringing him back, but at only at their price. Other speculative options include the Bengals and Lions.

We have him listed as the No. 46 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.

Matt Moore

Dolphins backup QB Matt Moore figures to benefit due to the lack of adequate options at quarterback in this year’s free agent market.

Volin mentions that Moore “could fetch” a two- or three-year deal in the neighborhood of $5 million annually. Volin lists the Cardinals, Jets, Bills, Browns and Vikings as teams to watch.

We have him listed as the No. 53 best available player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.

Sean Smith

Volin reports that a source close to CB Sean Smith mentioned that he’s believed to be seeking as much as $24 million guaranteed in his next contract.

Volin adds that the franchise tag is still a possibility, but he seems to think DT Randy Starks is the more likely candidate for the designation.

We have Smith listed as the No. 45 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
