Dolphins Open To Trading No. 22 Overall Pick

Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel reports that the Dolphins are open to trading their No. 22 overall pick if there’s a team looking to move up a few spots for a certain player or there’s a player worth moving up to get.

Dolphins VP of football operations Mike Tannenbaum told reporters on Wednesday that they’ll weigh all of their options once they’re on the clock.

“When that opportunity becomes available we’ll measure it against the board, what our needs are,” Tannenbaum said when asked about a potential trade. “We’ll see what happens. Sometimes you get a trade offer that’s hard to say no to.”

Tannenbaum added that he routinely is involved in trade discussions with the three teams selecting ahead and after them about possible deals.

Kelly points out that Tannenbaum has developed a long-standing reputation as a trade-friendly executive, so this figures to be a pick worth keeping an eye on next Thursday.

The Dolphins figure to be in a good spot to either get a pass-rusher,  but they likely could still drop back and get one or possibly even the top guard prospect in Western Kentucky’s Forrest Lamp.

We have Missouri DE Charles Harris being selected by the Browns in the First Round of our 2017 NFL Mock Draft.
