Dolphins Place CB Will Davis On I.R. & Sign CB Jalil Brown

The Miami Dolphins announced Saturday that they have placed CB Will Davis on season-ending injured reserve and signed CB Jalil Brown to a contract.

This move should come as no surprise given that Davis suffered a torn ACL during Thursday night’s loss to the Bills.

Davis, 24, is in the second year of his four-year, $2.701 million rookie contract and has base salaries of $592,500 and $682,500 coming his way in 2015 and 2016.

His 2014 season ends with him recording 17 tackles and three pass defenses over the course of 10 games.

Brown, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs. He spent close to three years with the team before he was placed on waivers and later claimed by the Dolphins in December of last year.

He has appeared in two games this season, but has yet to record a single statistic.
