Dolphins Place Jake Long On Season-Ending IR

Dolphins place LT Jake Long on season-ending injured reserve today.

Long suffered a triceps injury during Week 13’s loss to the New England Patriots. There’s been a lot of speculation that Long’s time with the Dolphins could be coming to an end. Reports indicated that Miami would have to be willing to pay Long $15 million next season if they were to use their franchise tag on him. He dealt with a number of injuries and has struggled a bit in recent years, but the Dolphins are apparently interested in keeping him on their roster.

We have Long listed as the No. 7 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
