Dolphins Place S Isa Abdul-Quddus On I.R. & Promote S A.J. Hendy

The Miami Dolphins announced Wednesday that they’ve promoted S A.J. Hendy to their active roster and placed S Isa Abdul-Quddus on injured reserve.

Abdul-Quddus, 27, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Fordham back in 2011. After three years in New Orleans, he signed on with the Lions before testing the free agent market last year and eventually agreeing to a three-year, $12.75 million contract with Miami.

Abdul-Quddus stands to make base salaries of $4.22 million over the final two years of the contract.

In 2016, Abdul-Quddus appeared in 15 games for the Dolphins and recorded 78 tackles, one sack, two inteceptions and five pass defenses.
