Dolphins Place TE Brandon Williams On I.R. & Promote DT Deandre Coleman

The Miami Dolphins announced Monday that they’ve placed TE Brandon Williams on season-ending injured reserve and promoted DT Deandre Coleman from their practice squad.

Williams, 28, is a former fourth round pick of the Cowboys back in 2009. He lasted just over two years in Dallas before he was waived at the start of the 2011 season.

Since then, Williams has played for the Cardinals and Panthers before joining the Dolphins back in September. Since then, he’s been on and off of their active roster.

This season, Williams has been active for six games, but has yet to record a single statistic.

Coleman, 24, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of California back in May of last year. He lasted just a few months with the team before he was waived and later signed to the Dolphins’ practice squad.

However, Coleman was among the team’s final roster cuts at the start of the season, but returned to their practice squad a few weeks ago.
